MY STORY

Christian.  Husband.  Father (x4).  Lawyer.  Broker.  Investor.  Travis D. Hughes is an accomplished commercial real estate attorney and commercial real estate broker who now calls Atlanta home.  The native Texan and Harvard graduate splits the majority of his time between his robust family life and his work as in-house counsel for a publicly listed, private equity real estate firm with $31.8B in commercial assets under management.  In his remaining time, he is a qualifying broker and consultant for commercial tenants and individual investors.

As a lawyer, he drafts and negotiates all contracts related to the purchase, management, leasing and sale of approximately 90 office buildings (comprising 14 million square feet) and several industrial properties. He is licensed with multiple state bar associations and the Georgia Real Estate Commission.

In addition to his landlord work, Travis has represented and continues to represent several franchise owners (including such franchise brands as Mayweather Boxing + Fitness, Primrose Schools and Perspire Sauna Studio), restaurants, sports bars and various other commercial tenants.

Travis is an active member of the Association of Corporate Counsel, The Carter Center (board member), Nana Grants (board member), The Harvard Club of Georgia, The Harvard Varsity Club, and was a member of Urban Land Institute Atlanta's Center for Leadership Class of 2020.

He has been featured in South Fulton Lifestyle Magazine and his work has been published, in print, by Probate & Property, the American Bar Association's real estate and trusts and estates publication.
